Dear RLC 2011 Attendees,

We are very excited to welcome you to New Orleans, Louisiana for the 2011 Republican Leadership Conference! To help you prepare for your trip on June 16-18, we want to provide you with the most up-to-date conference information.

As a delegate, you will be able to interact with top Republican activists, donors, candidates and elected officials during three days of training, briefings, receptions and speeches from the leaders of the Republican Party. By participating in RLC 2011, you will also get to take part in a nationally prominent event that signals the unofficial kickoff of the presidential campaign season.

Where will the conference events take place?

Most conference events will take place at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, our host hotel, located just steps from the famous New Orleans French Quarter.

How do I get to the Hilton New Orleans Riverside?

Driving:
From the west: Follow Interstate-10 to Downtown/East/Slidell, exiting at Poydras St. (Note: Exit ramp is on left). Continue onto Poydras St. south, and follow to its end at the hotel’s front circle drive entrance.

From the east: Follow Interstate-10 Downtown/West, exiting at Canal St./Superdome. Follow signage to Superdome/Poydras St., turning left onto Poydras St. Follow Poydras south to its end at the hotel’s front circle drive entrance.

Flying:
The hotel is 13 miles, or 25 minutes, from the New Orleans International (Moisant Field or MSY) Airport. Take Interstate-10 Downtown/East/Slidell, exiting at Poydras St. (Note: Exit ramp is on left). Turn right onto Poydras St., following Poydras south to its end at the hotel’s front circle drive entrance.

From the Lakefront Airport, which is 10 miles, or 15 minutes, from the hotel, take Interstate-10 Downtown. Exit on Poydras St., turning left onto Poydras. Follow Poydras south to its end at our hotel’s front circle drive entrance.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Press Credential Applications are available as of April 13, 2011.  Please fill out the required information to initiate your press credential application process. This is NOT for attendees. Also, please note that by filling out this application you are not guaranteed a credential for RLC 2011.  A RLC Staff member will be in touch with you to verify your application’s acceptance and gather any further information necessary.

Volunteer Applications are available as of April 13, 2011.  Please fill out the required information if you would like to volunteer for RLC 2011. This is NOT for attendees. If you want to purchase a ticket, visit http://republican.eventbrite.com. Also, please note that by filling out this application you are not guaranteed a credential for RLC 2011.  A RLC Staff member will be in touch with you to verify your application’s acceptance and gather any further information necessary.

When should I arrive at the conference?

You should arrive at the conference before 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, if possible, in order to take advantage of all the scheduled events. The opening session is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm. Please check back for details and plan to arrive early.

Where do I check-in for the RLC 2011? Do I need to provide identification?

Registration will occur at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside from Thursday, June 16 through Saturday, June 18.

Bring a photo ID with you to receive your credentials.

While not required, you may want to bring your confirmation number to assist in the registration process.

Do I need a special ticket or badge to access RLC 2011 events?

RLC 2011 is a credentialed event. Credentials may be picked up on site during registration. Please keep your credentials with you while attending events. DO NOT LOSE YOUR CREDENTIALS, as you will not be able to enter events without them.

I would like to bring someone with me who has not registered—is there on-site registration for individual events?

If you would like to bring a child with you to an event, any lap-child will be admitted without a credential.

Credentials may be available for onsite purchase. Please call the RLC 2011 office at (225) 300-4891 check availability closer to the date of the event.

I would like to change my registration level—is that still possible?

If you would like to upgrade your registration, call (225) 300-4891. Tickets are non-refundable after March 1, 2011.

What is the dress code for the conference sessions?

Appropriate attire includes business and business casual for brunches and the General Session. Business and cocktail attire is appropriate for the Governor Jindal’s RLC Bayou Bash on Friday evening.

Can I enter a general session or other event if it has already begun?

RLC 2011 volunteers will be available to assist delegates with entrance into events.

Will I be able to meet major speakers?

There will be numerous opportunities throughout the conference to interact with our speakers. For those attendees holding VIP tickets, there will be special events providing unique access to major speakers.

May I take photographs during sessions and panels?

Personal photography is welcome in the RLC 2011 events. There will also be a large media presence at the conference, with several national news organizations broadcasting live.

Can you recommend nearby places to eat?

There are many restaurants located close to our host hotel and surrounding conference village. Several of these hotels are offering special reservations and deals for conference attendees. On Thursday, June 16, there will be no dinner event, so please take advantage of these great offers.
